Meet The Parents

Nova Labradoodle
Nova Labradoodle with bandana

Meet Nova, our incredibly sweet 5 year old mama to be! Nova was born on September 28, 2020, her weight sticks around 60-65lbs and this is her very first litter. She has a strong doodle background, with a Goldendoodle mom and a multicolor Labradoodle dad, giving her the curly soft coat and affectionate personality doodles are so loved for.

She truly has one of the gentlest personalities you could ask for in a dog. Everyone who meets her says she could easily be an emotional support animal because of how deeply she bonds with people and how naturally loving and comforting she is. She absolutely loves her toys, enjoys meeting new people, and is happiest when she’s surrounded by family or making new friends at the dog park.

Nova is well trained and has always been eager to learn, making training her a smooth experience from the beginning. She is fully vaccinated, healthy, and gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, other dogs, and pretty much everyone she meets. While she can sometimes bark when someone first enters her space, it’s simply her being vocal and alert, never aggressive. She has never shown aggression toward people or animals. We truly believe that if her puppies inherit even half of her personality, they are going to grow into incredibly loving, sweet, and family friendly dogs.

Coal black lab
Black Lab

Meet Coal, the handsome dad of this litter! Coal is a full-bred black Labrador Retriever born on March 10, 2022. He typically weighs between 65–70lbs and has all the classic Labrador features people know and love, including his big blocky head, soft coat, and giant webbed paws made for swimming. He absolutely loves the water and has the calm, loyal personality Labs are famous for.

Coal is an incredibly sweet and easygoing dog who absolutely adores people. While he doesn’t show a huge interest in playing with other dogs all the time, he does well with dogs of all sizes at the dog park and will join in here and there, he’s just definitely more of a people-oriented dog. He has not yet been around cats, but he is wonderful with strangers and will happily walk right up to anyone for attention and pets. Everywhere he goes, people compliment how calm, sweet, and well-mannered he is.

Coal is also very intelligent and easy to train, making him an all-around wonderful companion. If the puppies inherit his personality, we believe they will grow into incredibly loving, loyal best friends with soft coats, sweet temperaments, and that classic friendly Labrador charm.

Awaiting Our Litter

Due Date

Nova’s puppies are expected to arrive around June 5th, although there’s a good chance they may make their debut a little early toward the end of May. We are eagerly counting down the days and preparing for their arrival every step of the way.

Puppy Count

During Nova’s recent x-ray, our vet confirmed at least four puppies, although there could definitely be more hiding in the images. We are excited to meet each little one and cannot wait to finally know the full puppy count!

Nova's Journey

Nova has handled pregnancy like an absolute champ. While she has definitely become a little moodier at times (who can blame her) she has remained her sweet and loving self throughout the entire journey. We’ve made sure she has plenty of space to relax, constant access to fresh water, and extra nutrients added into her meals, including soft puppy food to help support both her and the growing puppies.

Nursery prep

We are currently building a custom whelping box designed specifically for Nova and her puppies. It will include plenty of comfortable space, a soft padded mat, and a heating lamp to keep the puppies warm and cozy. The nursery area is located near the biggest window in our home to provide natural light during the day, along with curtains for quiet, darker moments when rest is needed. (photos will be uploaded when completely set up!)
